Understanding Your Role and Permissions

Learn how AiVII user roles work, what permissions each role has, and how these determine the dashboards and data you can access.

Roles in AiVII

AiVII uses role-based access control (RBAC) to make sure every user only sees the data they are authorised to view.

All roles have view-only dashboard access by default, with drill-through capabilities to explore detail and export options for Clarity and Intelligence plans.

Permissions explained

  • Dashboards — Each role has access to dashboards relevant to their responsibilities.
  • User management — Certain roles can create and manage lower-tier users.
  • Data scope — All views are restricted to your organisation’s data (multi-tenant isolation).
  • Drill-through — Available for all roles to move from KPIs to detailed learner data.
  • Export - Available on Clarity and Intelligence plans and can be switched off per role by the Super User.

Changing roles

  • Role changes must be made by a Super User or Admin for your organisation.
  • Changes take effect immediately but may require logging out and back in.

Security tip

Never share your login with someone else. Instead, have the correct role assigned to them so access is tracked properly.
