AiVII Risk Rating Explained

The AiVII Risk Rating is an automated risk rating that analyses a number of different measures within your data that could identify a learner being at risk of withdrawal. These fields are:

• Learning Plan Progress
• OTJH Progress
• Last Active Status
• Funding Status (In Funding or Out of Funding)
• Progress Review Status
• Outstanding Marking (work waiting to be marked by a coach)

The Skills Intelligence System assigns a RAG rating to each of these areas, and then use these ratings to provide an overall rating.

Learning Plan Progress & Off The Job Hours

These each have their own rating, but have the same thresholds as follows:

• >=80% - Green 
• <80% but >=70% - Amber
• <70% - Red

Example: If Learning Plan Progress was 84% this would be rated Green. If OTJH Progress was 78% this would be rated Amber.

These are used combined in the overall status as follows:

• If Learner Progress and OTJH = Red, Overall = Red
• If either Learner Progress or OTJH is Red but the other is Amber or Green, Overall = Amber
• If Both are Amber, Overall = Amber
• If either Learner Progress or OTJH is Amber but the other is Green, Overall = Green

Example: If Learning Plan Progress was 84% this would be rated Green. If OTJH Progress was 78% this would be rated Amber,

Last Active Learning Status

• This Month - Green
• Last Month - Amber
• 2 Months Ago - At Risk - Red
• BIL Required - Red

Funding Status

• In Funding - Green
• Out of Funding - Red

Progress Review Status

• Last Review < 10 Weeks Ago - Green
• Last Review >10 but <12 Weeks Ago - Amber
• Last Review >12 Weeks Ago -Red
• No Last Review, Next Review booked for < 10 Weeks -  Green
• No Last Review, Next Review booked for >10 Weeks but <12 Weeks - Amber
• No Last Review, Next Review booked for >12 Weeks - Red
• No Last Review, Next Review not booked  - Red

Outstanding Marking

• Submitted this week, due to be marked - Green
• Up to one or two weeks over due - Amber
• Over two weeks overdue - Red

AiVII Overall Risk Status

• Any metric is Red (LP progress and OTJH Combined score) - Red
• If 3 or more metrics are amber (LP progress and OTJH Combined score) - Red
• If 2 or less metrics are amber (LP progress and OTJH Combined score) - Amber
• If 1 or less metrics are amber (LP progress and OTJH Combined score) - Green

Examples

Example 1 (Amber):

• LP Progress is Amber, OTJH is Green - Combined Green
• Last Active Learning Status is Amber
• Funding Status is Green
• Progress Review Status is Amber
• Outstanding Marking is Green

Outcome - 2 Amber status (Last Active Learning and Progress Review Status) - Overall Risk Rating is Amber

Example 2 (Red): 

• LP Progress is Amber, OTJH is Amber - Combined Amber
• Last Active Learning Status is Amber
• Funding Status is Green
• Progress Review Status is Amber
• Outstanding Marking is Green

Outcome - 3 Amber status (LP Progress + OTJH Combined, Last Active Learning and Progress Review Status) - Overall Risk Rating is Red

Example 3 (Green): 

• LP Progress is Amber, OTJH is Amber - Combined Green
• Last Active Learning Status is Amber
• Funding Status is Green
• Progress Review Status is Green
• Outstanding Marking is Green

Outcome - 1 Amber status (Last Active Learning) - Overall Risk Rating is Green
